A couple days ago I brought this on Ebay and given it has full hydraulic brakes and other goodies the price I paid was not too bad. The previous owner gave me all the books etc and when I collected it I saw the scooter he had brought to replace it.He told me that the bike was a 2011 model but being cynical I think he had brought it this year but it may be a 2010 model but I am not too bothered because it is immaculate anyway.

But and you knew there would be one didn,t you it has only got 7 gears and all the sites I have looked at say it should be 8 does anyone know why has has only got 7.

Well because of this because I had some 9 speed gears and levers etc in the garage I just went out to try and fit them.I removed the 7 speed rear cluster and put the 9 speed cluster on and it all meshed up ok but the boss was too short so I removed the 9 speed boss off of the wheel, which was easy enough to do but when it came to removing the 7 speed rear boss the alan key I used for the 9 speed was not large enough so can anyone tell me whether you need a special tool for removing this or just a larger alan key.

Or is a just a case of cheap hubs on which you cannot change the rear cluster boss.

As always all advice will be welcomed.

Oh and what does anyone think about my idea of adding the 2 gears is it worth the effort.

If you can do it yourself, I would. Less gaps between gears and smoother ride.

Are you sure it should has 9 gears? Is ask the guy what the story is with the bike
