Mrs JtB is Spanish and so for us our Saints’ days are as important as our birthdays. Since today is the Nativity of John the Baptist then 24-June is my Saint’s day. I’m not sure though I’d want to eat locust and wild honey or wear camel’s hair garments (per my avatar).

Today is indeed St Jean Baptiste Day. And in Quebec it is a national holiday but not in rest of Canada.
A good friend of mine had his birthday yesterday, so always enjoyed a day off after his birthday. Which was useful if he had a hangover!

And today is Mini D's 12th Birtday. We're throwing a party at a kids activity centre in town and the parent sof Mini D's friends will doubtless all make some enquiring comment about me being 2 decades or more older than them - it gets a bit tiresome after the first few years...
