Handlebars

Need a narrower bar for the CX, don't want to spend too much and these seem to fit the bill. Is there anything else to consider, need a compact bar, fairly shallow drop (not that I really use them). 40cm c-c or 42cm os-os. Up to around £30 unless a few more quid would get me something rather better

Will be adorned with new lovely lizardskins 3.2mm tape (still got numb fingers from 80 miles on Sunday on the stock tape)

Tape will come from Sigma or Halfords, so easier if bars do too

Having popped into sigma they have suggested the deda rhm 01 at £18 odd, didn't see any great value in spending more

As above was recommended the 02 version which is around £18

Sigma have the tape for £3 less too

The drops on the FSA Omega compacts flare out so if you buy a 40cm (which they measure C-C at the bar ends), it will be 38cm at the tops - as I found out to my cost. Still bought the 42s because I really like the bar shape.

I went for the Deda ones as there didn't seem to be a reason to spend another tenner
