Handlebar under tape cable capping?

is the polythene cable covering available to buy, don't know what to call it so I can search it?

do people just not bother and just wrap the bar tape direct over the cable sleeve? I refer to bars with no groove for cable

I just hold the cable sleeves in place with some insulation tape after I have ensured the gears are working correctly in the position their in and then overwrap with the bar tape.

1) Cable outers I think you are looking for
2) Hold in place with electrical tape, then wrap over it.

Yeah looks like I'll have to tape over the cable directly, this is the channel I was referring to, I'm surprised it isn't available...I guess people regard it as unnecessary?

No need with anything like that. I just tape and wrap, over the cable outers.

It's more for tidying electrical cables, I don't see it has any use on the bike.
