Handlebar grip keeps coming off - what best to use to keep it on?

The left-hand rubber handlebar grip on my flatbar bike has started an annnoying attempt to slide off the bar while I'm riding. It's got to the stage where it's moving a cm or more on a 20 minute ride. I keep having to twist it back on all the time.

What's best to use to keep it in place - something that won't show ideally (electricians' tape was my first thought, but that will be visible). Glue maybe? But what glue? - I want to be able to get the thing off when it needs replacing!

Just buy some lock-on grips (ODI or Raceface sniper) - you'll never look back!

I always used to use lighter petrol. A squirt into the grip, slide it on quickly and it almost immediately sticks like sh*t on a shovel.

Well, the hairspray worked like a dream. And as daughter has donated a can of one she didn't get on with, if it happens on the other bar, I can repeat the exercise!
