Have had 2 hand pumps this year, both have broken. Can anyone recommend me a decent pump that will fit into a backpack, i have presta valves and its this part of the pump that keeps breaking

I and others on here use and highly rate lezyne mini pumps, I've got the alloy drive but Id probably get a road drive if I had a nice road bike. top peak pumps also get well rated on here.

I've just bought a Lezyne Pressure Drive: it connects to the valve via a flexible hose, so breakages are less likely.

I also have a Blackburn: equally good quality, but more rugged and connects directly to the valve (it's also *cough* for sale *cough*).

Without sounding nasty, are you flipping the locking mechanism up or down before pumping. (Needs to flipped up)
Flipping it up once its on the valve :P no air seems to go through the presta part though, only the other valve (which i cant spell haha)
