Halfords - got their deal wrong?

Been looking for some flashing "see me" lights and ended up on halfords, their bikehut lights have a buy one get one half price offer on.

I like the look of these,

as as I was going to buy 2 I was expecitng a price of £28:49 (18.99 + 9.50 for the half price one)
But when I add 2 to my basket I get a total of £37.98, minus a discount of £18.99 Leaving £18.99. So its really a Buy One Get One Free.


Could I ask some of you to try adding 2 to your basket and seeing if you get the same price for 2 please?

I tried it and also got the same price, but it does say it's buy one get one half price, so possibly a mistake on their website.
You could maybe add them to your basket, and collect instore
(tell them your order at the till), and if it doesn't come to the same price, leave without buying them?

Yeah, I think I will try that. 2 for £20 seems good to me. 2 for £30 and I will leave then and get the blackburn fleas from Ribble.

so, you are complaining that the lights are too cheap?

If they are 18.99 instead of 28.49 who cares if Halfords have made a mistake; it's not like they can't afford the loss. Didn't they make 450 million profit last year? (although that could be the whole Halfords group of companies)

Buy them and be happy you saved a few pounds.

I cant recall complaining, just asking for a double check that I hadnt done my sums wrong, or mis-understood the deal.

The lights page shows buy 3 get cheapest free.
