halfords advance bike carrier

hi i,ve picked up a pair of halfords advanced bike carriers ( the kind that go on roof bars ) i already have 1 fitted which was bought new and is great ,
the pair i picked up i got them cheap ( now i know why ) they have no securing straps for the wheels , the small plastic ratchet type that fix the wheels to the carrier , i knew they were not with them when i bought them but thought i could pick up spares from halfords , seems not .

any ideas where i could get spares from or is it a case of a cpl bungees wrapped around the wheel and the carrier .

 Bungees will be too springy.  Any strap will do.  Velcro cable ties might not be long enough.  How about these

Toe Straps are the best - i.e. the type from traditional clip'ed pedals

Just ordered 2 x pairs of those Halfords Advanced racks - they are apparently Thule 530 racks - maybe Thule have spares

I use them on my current racks and no doubt will be using them on my new ones. Very secure and don't scratch your rims.
