Carrera subway from halfords. You should have a bit left over for kit. Don't worry about disc brakes or suspension at that price point. They'll be heavy and poor

Heres mine, the next model up with disc brakes but V brakes work fine and a seatpost rack i can take off when i ride with the kids .

Thanks for the help i am thinking of buy this bike
https://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs...0151&storeId=10001&productId=810737&langId=-1
Will this be ok
Also is there any additional accessories i need to buy if so what do i need cheers thanks
Thats mine , 18 " and im 5foot 7 "
lights
bar ends like above to give you extra hand position
mudgaurds, wet ass is not nice , i run beavertails
Pannier rack/ panniers or back pack depends on how much you carry and if you like a sweaty back.
multi tool
tyre levers
couple of spare tubes
inner tube patches patches+ glue
mini pump for on the bike
track pump at home to top the tyres up properly
How far will you be commuting ? as the tyres are ok to run into the ground but when you replace them look at some slicker tyres as they will roll faster and use less energy to keep going.I like shwable city jets .
Controversial, a helmet is not required by law and they cause heated arguments on here so its up to you.
You can use normal clothes to ride and decide later on if you want specific cycle gear.
