Proper ones. The ones where you can't imagine where they come from. Rumania, Transylvania? Muslims or vampires? They all live on the victoria line these days though.

Dressed in wigwam blankets with their hair-lips and their skin-tone so weird it almost looks dirt stained.

And a baby under each arm!!! Like gypsy matryoshka babooshkas.

In Wiltshire , I used to see real ones living in Horse drawn wagons, one old lady even had a sign up saying 'Crystal ball reading'!

Did the women have moustaches and do juggling tricks with babies, whilst wearing blanket dresses?

Still see em I saw a couple of caravans near Sutton Benger in the summer.

I don't mean tinkers, or pikeys or diddicoys, milo.

I mean... pregnant red indian type gypsies... breast feeding their babies on the central line, with their overly aged big fat toes sticking out their sandals.

In the middle of winter, I ask you.

When I was down in London last month I saw some people who must've been gypsies. Proper Romany types who looked liked they were unnaturally browned-up, jet black hair, dress sense that I could not place for the life of me. Most ambiguous.

We saw one daily on holiday in Spain this year.
Strategically seated (clever girl ) on the path a litte way up from the good hotels...she's sit there ALL day, in the sun, mournfully asking (hand outstretched) for some money for some food.
Big and bulky girl, headscarf, typical rural clothing, dark skinned, yet european...really looked like a gypsy.

I refused day after day...till one really hot day, i gave her a bottle of water. She was nearly beside herself

A few days later, we saw her strutting through town toward her 'patch'. Gone was the 'tired, exhausted, downtrodden' look she displayed while begging...this woman was on a mission

We fairly laughed about the irony of it. Turned out she was Romanian. We played her right up until the last day, and then gave her a few Euros.
Sucker ?...maybe....but we had almost daily entertainment avoiding her for two weeks.

i admire the culture and noble appearance of Romany Gypsy people. They remind me of native Americans, and are equally admirable.

I hate native americans, with a vengeance, ever since I read 'one flew over the cuckoo's nest'.

Modern fat americans are my favorite.
