Thank you sir! It's a 'new' old dining room table, which will no doubt become covered in dinks, cuts and oil over time.

Always thought those were aimed at fixed, single speed and hub gears. Does it fit, or is it rubbing in some gears?

Chain looks a bit unloved on my desktop. But that might be down to poor colours in the photo. If it isn't, might I suggest you oil it?

I've had it fitted to a single chainring / 8 speed cassette bike previously and it worked well. In theory you can fit it to a multi chainring but I've never tried that. See review here (not mine): http://www.bikecommuters.com/2010/06/03/review-sks-chainboard-2/

Put it down to the photo - it's only done about 20 dry miles from new.
