I am still waiting on my voucher for the C2W scheme to come through and still undecided about what bike to get.

I got my wee boy a bike today and spoke to the guy in the bike shop and explained that I had to go through Halfords. Mentioned the Boardman to him which he said was a good bike but he mentioned the GT Transeo range.

Looking at this bike I quite like the look of it and wondered if anyone has this and what they think of it compared to the Boardman hybrid.

Thanks for any advice / replies.

Unfortunately for me, the GT Transeo is not available.

Looking for any other uggestions for Hybrid upto £850 mark. I had originally went for the Boardman but went off it and the above is not available.

Looked at a Scott and also a Gary Fisher - anybody thoughts on these?

I just got my voucher this afternoon so wanting to order something asap.

Cheers for the help.

From what I've read, Halfords can source you any bike which you ask for.

Some companies (specialized are one I've heard of) don't issue you with a warranty though, as Halfords aren't an authorised dealer.

It was the Halfords C2W team who contacted their supplier who say they have been unable to get these bikes as they are out of stock.

I want to get my bike asap so I can get out with the kids over the summer holidays too.

Sorry, my post was unclear. I was just making sure that you were aware that you could have any make that you wanted, and that you aren't limited to just which bikes they have on the shelves.

No probs mate.

Went to Evans Cycles and a couple caught my eye.

A couple of different opinions from different people. The guy in Evans said standard brakes are fine, another guy said that Hydraulics for the price I am paying.

I started out going for the Boardman, but saw others I liked the looked of but as I said earlier, Halfords cant get them.

I dont want to jump and end up with something not suitable.

Aaarggh!!!
