Groupset compatibility

Hi,

I have a Giant Defy 5 2013 model and want an upgrade project. May I ask if this groupset below is compatible with my bikes frame? If so, do I really need to replace the brakes too?

The tiagra is a good group set.Having said the I'm thinking of upgrading mine to ultegra
