Why don't the good folk on this wonderful forum get together and arrange some joint rides, amongst cyclists in the same area ?
Surely it would be possble to add another section on the forum, even just for the summer months, PLANNED RIDES, or something similar. Riding alone is OK, but riding as a bunch is better.
Riders could post information of proposd rides they are planning, with an open invitation for others to join in by giving details and starting points, perhaps just calling it after the starting town / city.
I am in the north east region and quite often, when somebody new posts on the welcome pages, comments about a joint ride get mentioned, but I don't really know if anything actually materialises.
If it wasn't for the fact that my wife and I are caring for my elderly father, with Alzheimer's I would be happy to start the ball rolling, with a ride on North yneside.
Just a thought !
A friend is a member of 'club 80-90' a forum for campervan owners and if there is a campervan rally, all members seem to flock together (as one big happy family)
Is it worth a go ??
Surely it is ?
Regards
Brian
