Hi, this is what I saw this morning:

The surprising thing about this is that the tyres actually have treads, the truck has lights and the container stayed attached to the flatbed and didn't just topple off crushing a motorcycle taxi.

I'm a bit pished right now:

You'll see some sights in Nigeria. I worked near Port Harcourt for about 6 months a few years ago and was constantly amazed by some of the stuff I saw and the things the locals got up to:ohmy:

I spent a year and a half in Nigeria as when I was growing up, between the ages of 7 and 9. I loved it there. There were enormous numbers of car wrecks on the roadsides though. My siblings and I used to play a game on car journeys where we'd see who could count the most.

It didn't help that sometimes they'd get the camber on sharp corners wrong...

Look! I found our old houses on google's satellite imagery!

As I understand it a Nigerian bunch of companies are to buy Newcastle FC !

As long as Newcastle send their bank account details etc to make sure that the dosh gets deposited in the correct manner...

Ah the joys of Africa. When I lived in Kampala the train used to fall over sideways like that lorry on a fairly regular basis.

I worked in 'dis Nigeriah' for 11 years and saw some amazing sights both on and off the roads and sights on aircraft that would cause you to never fly again! I left nearly 12 years ago and whilst I have some great memories of the place I have no wish to go back. Oyibo, oyibo, oyibo!

In Ghana now; it's much more disciplined, nobody drives along the pavements and the place looks like Africa should look.

...and pissed on Club premium lager this evening.
