Really enjoyed yesterday's Great Manchester Cycle, even though I was overruled by the brains of the outfit and so did the 13 miles with her and her family instead of going for the 26. I'm sure I put my foot down about that...
It's the first time I've done one of these but was impressed by the organisation - far better than the Shine walk for Cancer Research that won't come back to Manchester as we only raised £600,000.
The future of British cycling looks good for recreational riding and competitively given the number of boys and girls who were going for it.
Not that I'll be supporting any of them as one girl tutted loudly as I struggled back up Mancunian Way and forced her cadence to drop, whilst my beloved's 9 yr-old cousin just smirked and left me for dead...
