GPX or TCX file won't transfer from PC to Garmin 705

As the title says I'm having difficultly transferring files from my PC to my Garmin 705 !

I click on 'send to' Garmin (E) & files seems to transfer but can't find file on Garmin device.

Any help would be much appreciated !

I believe you have to copy the files to the NewFiles folder on the Garmin.

Never done it the sync way since my first Geko (you had to do it), I've always done drag and drop since like folk say above.

Copy into the NewFiles Fylde and if there is not one make it with that exact name and capitalisation.
Also and as mad as this may sound one of my garmin devices will only take new files if it is connected with a genuine garmin cable (it is marked garmin at the PC end). The other device (my husband's) will take files from any cable that fits. It is the older device that had this issue.

On my Edge 200, when connected to the pc I can see all the folders, including the New Files folder as the other posters tell it. There is also a folder titled Courses, which common sense would suggest to be the place to drag and drop a course to. However, this is a piece of I.T. equipment, so common sense no longer applies. Drag and drop your newly created course to New Files. Disconnect the Garmin from the pc and turn it on. Go to Course on your device, find the new course and select it, then you should find that a message pops up saying Processing. A short while later, there you are, your new course is awaiting your pleasure.

Sometimes you have to look in history on the device as well....

I drop and drag to the SD !
