As the title suggests i'm looking recommendations on bike computers or trackers. I use endomondo on my phone but it so hit and miss i'm fed up of it. All views and price ranges welcome ...

Cateye V3 is a brilliant piece of kit although no GPS. Speed/Cadence/HRM out of the box

The units I know of are:

The Garmin Edge and Forerunner.
The Basic Edge is the 200 (b&w bread crumb mapping no sensors.
Edge 500 is the same (b&w) but take sensors for HR & Cadence. There's a similar 305 (I've got one) but I'm usure of availability.
The Edge 605 and 705 are full colour, detail mapping versions of the above (605 No Sensors, 705 Sensors),
The latter one or two have been superseded by the 800 which is the all singing touch screen version.
I don't know about the Forerunner models but they are a watch like unit.
Bryton and Holux do budget alternatives.

Garmin are doing £30.00 cash back at the moment, plus Halfords 20%, you pick up the Edge 200 for just over £70.00. Decent device plus it won't impact the battery life of your mobile phone.

Without a doubt my Edge 800 is one of the best pieces of kit I've bought. The Enduro pack with 1:50k Discoverer, HRM & Cadence Sensor.
When buying anything I always try to buy the thing that will not make me think about 'what the other one would of been like'. This ticks that box perfectly.

I got a email from Garmin saying my cash back has been approved and the cheque will be in the post within 14 days.
RRP £129.99 - 20%=£103
£103-£30 cash back =£73 for a Garmin 200

Very pleased with it.

I had an edge but sold it due to cr@p satellite connection and odd problems.
I nw have a Forerunner 405, however, as the battery life is only around 8 hours I sometimes my wife's XT310 which has a 20 hour battery life and if you are looking at Duathlon/Triathlon use, the XT310 is great as you can set it for each sicipline and the auto switch after Transition.

The 200 is great for most riders. I share my rides with family on Facebook, and it's bringing a lot of people into cycling
