Got A Turbo On The NHS!

Just had my annual Asthma review and they are changing everyone's medication - out goes the Seretide which works very well and in comes a Turbohaler.

Anyone know if it is cost cutting or are the products better/safer?

On the whole, the symbicort is more effective than seretide. However, everyone is different so don't hesitate to go back if you don't get on with it. Don't be phased by the fact that nothing seems to come out though. Compared to the aerosol that you have been used to, the turbohaler deposits a tiny amount of tasteless powder and peeps tend to panic and think it is not working!

Thanks for that Slug - have just used it and was unsure whether anything had happened.
