Noooo! Saw him at Oxford in 2016 and he looked very frail then. A bona fide musical legend, will be sadly missed

My particular favourite is The wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.
Another great song writer goes to the great gig in the sky.

A great singer song writer. One of my dad’s favourites.
His voice brings back memories.

In more recent times his songs were a great backing track to some brilliant Trigger Happy TV sketches.

I remember my parents having one of his albums, even as a child I thought If you could read my mind was the work of a genius.

I had the Gordon Lightfoot Essentials playlist (Apple Music) on in the van this morning, the one thing that struck me was that not only are his guitar playing & songs musically perfect, but the lyrics paint a picture too, I really can’t think of an artist currently that can do this
