This is an item that GoPro have for some odd reason not produced. Having a faulty Lidl sports cam which is awaiting a pre paid label to arrive for sending it back to Germany, and which since speaking to Custimer Services has typically behaved perfectly, I had purchased a Go Pro Hero 3 White.
After much searching online I started comparing the Lidl and Go Pro accessories that I had and it dawned on me that as the Lidl handlebar mount has its camera quick release part screw fixed in place it would be a simple matter to swop that for a quick release Go Pro mount.
The most suitable Go Pro part I had was a flat quick release mount with a self adhesive pad on its rear. The pad relatively easilly peels off and then it was a simple matter to drill four small holes in it and screw it in place of the for the Lidl quick release mount. With a bit of care it may be possible to use the existing screws but I ended on searching for some slightly bigger ones - hint when throwing away any household appliance remove as many screws etc as you can because its at moments like this that you find a use for them.

And having now received a replacement camera from Targa/Lidl without having to return the faulty on, thoughts turned on to use it and the Go Pro. Quite easy to rig up a rear facing mount on the back of the luggage rack simply cut down from the Go Pro packaging, drilled and cable tied in place.
