Hi guys new to this . I bought a boaredman MX comp a few months ago and I'm looking for advise on new tyres. I cycle at least 10 miles to and from work. The tyres that were on the bike were fab no punctures and decent grip. So I'm looking for something similar but that will last longer and give me more grip with the winter months coming any suggestions?

Schwalbe Marathon. Roll & grip well, last for ages and very puncture resistant.:okay:

Considering where in the country you are I presume the request for more grip in the winter is going to be on ice & snow in which case you'd want something a bit more specialist for those conditions. Continental do a tyre in a winter compound: http://www.conti-tyres.co.uk/conticycle/ti topcontactwinter.shtml but for serious grip on ice you need spikes: http://www.schwalbe.com/gb/spikes.html Both of these options are more costly than standard tyres

I've got the Boardman MX Sport and that's got the same Schwalbe Tyragos as standard - they've been excellent tyres and I'll almost certainly get the same again when they need replacing.
Fast enough on road, but grippy enough to get through everything I've thrown at it off road. Hard wearing too, showing hardly any wear in over 500 miles
