Hi, I'm only 6'1" so in hardly a giant, buy i have a slim frame, about a 30" waist 36" chest.

Today two jerseys that I ordered arrived in the post one GORE bike wear (size small) which was too short but fit around the chest and biceps

The other was an Altura jersey (also size small) which was good in the length but way too baggy.

So any other of you bean poles out there know of any good cycle wear that's good for tall skinny people for both the top and bottom half?

Thanks a lot

You need to try them on. Not always possible I know. I have to go a size up in Gore and a size up in the close fitting Endura stuff. Lusso is the only brand I have come across that makes clothing the size I take in regular clothes. DHB is also good but not quite as consistent as Lusso.

Try and try on some endura stuff as I have found their stuff to be very stretchy so fits different sizes better so you can go for a smaller size but it will still fit? I would suggest trying on as many brands as you can to find one that fits you and in what size so you will be more confident getting right size online. Good luck

well, being such an unusual size as that you will struggle to find clothes to fit well, however, it shouldn't be impossible - sounds like you have the build of a pro bike rider - try the pro kit range of Assos, Santini or Castelli

If you're 6'1", why are you buying small? I'm 6'3", 34" waist (that's including middle age spread), 40-42" chest and normally go for a large, if it comes up a little baggy then so be it. IMO, I think you'd be looking at clothing that says 'race fit' which is designed for a close fit.
I'd also re-measure your chest, 36" seems very small for someone of your height.

TBH, you don't sound that unusually sized so shouldn't have a problem with most cycling clothes. Look for racier cut stuff rather than pootle and commuter kit and you should be sorted.

I am taller than you (6'3"), with similar waist (32") and chest sizes (38") and have never had a problem with Castelli kit. I have also used other kit which was also fine, such as my club kit made by ChampSys.

Try Rapha, they seem to have kit which fits Froome and he's a bit of a dangly bloke

Re. Rapha kit for sky, I wouldn't be surprised if they had nothing to do with the design and manufacture of that kit other than the logo. They haven't been around long and Sky are a demanding team when it comes to kit, whilst it is not inconceivable that they trusted Rapha with the job, it is also equally likely they had the kit made by someone who has more experience and technology nouce than Rapha, then re-branded it all. The fancy skinsuits are definitely made by another brand, they are made by Bioracer. It is the same skinsuit design that Tony Martin used in the Olympic TT.
