Hopefully if all goes well, this time next week I will have a bike, if not then early November a the latest

After doing a lot of research (and bugging the life out of folks here) I have spoken to a chap at my LBS and they have informed me to pop in and get measured and then they will have a chat with me what my needs are and recommend me a bike, if they don't have it in stock they will try to get it within two days.
I have pushed my budget up a little to give me a greater range and the minute my bikes of choice are Ridgeback Meteor, Ridgeback Speed (the trouble is I need a 15inch frame and apparently they are are harder to come by) or a Giant City 3.0, any feed back on any of these would be helpful
Thanks for all your help. Hopefully with in a couple of weeks I will be a cycle chat member who actually owns a bike!! (other than a bike shaped object sitting in the shed)
