Hi All

Just wanted to ask if anyone knew of any energy drinks and snack bars that are 100% gluten free as I want to start using these while riding. I have an condition whereby everything I eat or drink has to be gluten free but, apart from PSP22, have not been able to find any that are definitively GF.

If anyone has any info I'd really appreciate it.

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul,

A couple of my work colleagues have to have gluten free food. One of them has a book from I think the Coeliac Society (sp?) that lists lots of brands that make gluten free products and also individual foods from e.g. supermarkets. Apologies if this is the first place you have looked!

Hi there

Thanks for that. I actually already have the Food and Drink Directory but it really doesn't detail these kinds of things - just more mainstream food and drink stuff. I have already written to SiS and established that I can have their energy drinks Go, Rego and PSP22 which are all good. Unfortunately none of their carb or protein bars are safe for me as they all contain oat gluten.

So if anyone else has any inside info or advice all would be welcome.

Cheers

Hi Paul, i tend to use High 5 and their energy source drink has the following ingredients (Maltodextrin (designer glucose polymer), Fructose, Natural Flavours, Citric Acid, Tri Sodium Citrate, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Citrate). Presumably it is gluten free? Obviously, "Natural Flavours" is vague but unlikely to be gluten containing. Quite what the designer polymer is i've no idea.
