I have the merino pair. Used them last year and they were certainly an improvement on my thick winter gloves. Not had need to try them yet this year, although I was wearing them in the office the other morning as my fingers were chilly. Worked very well too. Good fit and unobtrusive.

Silk makes for an excellent liner as they will slide nicely on your hands and against your outer gloves even when damp. Try not to wear them on their own though as they can rip easily if snagged. Merino I would save for the other glove. I’ve used silk liners for decades for mountaineering and now cycling.

I've had a pair of the silk ones for years now. They're great for layering when really cold and are dead easy to get in and out of the other glove. I sometimes use them on their own when running in spring/autumn (you're not really meant to). They've taken a hammering, have a number of small holes and snags but still perform really well.

Think I picked mine up really cheaply from the bay of e. I think it’s as much the layering effect that helps as the quality of the liner gloves so cheap and cheerful is fine.

If one won't do, use two.

When it's really cold, I use a fairly close fitting pair of gloves with a looser fitting pair on top.

If it's still too cold wearing those it's time to climb off the bike.

are these decathlon?
Am a great believer in layering - including for gloves.
i have mega problems with many supposedly super warm gloves that have their own lining - often a pig to get/on get off and the inner often pulls out of the outer making getting your fingers back in a right old pig. The worst ones I have are a pair of supposedly miracle waterproof winter gloves from the usually dependable Polaris.

I have the silk ones. Didn't get on with them for cycling as they made the gloves I had feel really bulky. Just stuck to my Altura winter gloves in the end.

Although they are mega useful and live in my handbag as "emergency gloves" as they are, if you keep your hands out of the wind, very warm. They've also been a godsend to wear under rigger gloves in the winter when I'm doing lumberjill duties. There is a trade-off in dexterity, but better that than chillblains...

If it gets really cold then lobster gloves or mittens would be best. Really toasty.

The warmest gloves I had were some Aldi Golf Mittens. And I had Grip Shift so it worked well.
