Off to Glastonbury Festival in a couple of weeks - traditionally I've taken a car but has anyone had experience of using a bike - particularly getting around the site (mud permitting).

Are you even allowed to take one in past security?

You'd need a bike that would cope off road with suitable tyres.
To be frank, I don't see the point tbh. Depending where you camp if you leave it you'd need to secure it with good locks, you might not have anything to lock it to and I'd rather not worry about a bike at a festival.

Besides you need to carry lots of luggage, a bike may influence what you take

A mate of mine did this years ago in 2000. They have a secure bike park. Don't try cycling around festival - worse than trying to cycle through Waterloo station in rush hour. Leave bike locked up and walk everywhere  .
