A surprising number are taking a bet on the weather.

My mole in the Met Office says it's all uncertain after the 22nd.

What is your cut off point for online entries?

As you can tell, I'm dithering, just getting back into the swing of things after snow, 'flu and Christmas.

Um, sorry, late reply to this one. I've set it two days before. Not sure why, might change it to one. Anyway, plenty of time to change your mind ;) .

Up to date routesheet now available for download, as is a gps/bikehike file, all at www.ukcyclist.co.uk/glastonbury. Now I've got to chat to Roly at the Awli about food for finishers.

A couple of people have expressed concern about possible ice on the first, Blackdowns, section. So here is a google maps link to a main road alternative as far as the 22.6km instruction.

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=214476501391804634845.00049ae907fc385593ce2&z=10

Edit: Google seems to be playing silly bulgars, so:

From the start as current routesheet, but continue on A30/A303 to L sp Taunton (B3170), then L sp Staple Fitzpaine to the instruction at 22.6km on the routesheet.

Baggy's on her way to the final control to see the riders through. We saw them through the first control. 34 starters out of 49 entries - not bad for freezing weather. I'll wander down to the finish later to welcome them home.

Two unaccounted for of the four who failed to finish. A cold day, but everyone seemed pretty cheerful. An entire afternoon in a pub is not good for me.

I spotted a Chuffy and a Baggy on my way round. Baggy claimed to not have the legs for the ride, but I think really it was just too cold for sensible people to be out riding on the Levels
