As the cold winds from the north are now hitting us. I noticed i spend at good portion of my ride with my eyes streaming. Are there any cycling glasses suited to night time/ early morning cycling

Yes, you can use the ones with yellow lenses.

Look for yellow or clear lenses with uv protection. The ones that wrap around your face are better in the wind

Loads of stuff available. For cheap, high quality glasses look at Bolle safety specs from Safety supplies companies. The Silium and Contour are ideal for cycling, and they come in tinted, clear and polarised. They meet exacting standards, and even welders use them (impact tested).

If you want more cycling related, then Aldi do glasses and most cycle retailers. You can even get Oakley look a likes from ebay.

Make sure you get a good lens, I have found cheap safety glasses are not great with car head lights, as the lights glare on poor quality lenses.
Also, fogging up is an issue. I ride with expensive glasses, but still have fogging issues especially when stopped at traffic lights.

As stated before, I fully agree with using safety glasses. If you want to avoid postage (£3.95 from linked shop), just go to a local safety shop (on your bike!).

I've been using general purpose sports glasses. I can't see the difference from cycling ones apart from 1/3 the price.

Also agree with the posters above about normal safety specs. Good value and do the job.

Been using stick-on bifocal lenses with the sports glasses so I can see close to me as well. £20 well spent.
