This is an intriguing one. A really quite substantial ITT, which will make a big difference. My view is that it will see Levi leap to the top, but with Rogers there too, he could also be in the Pink afterwards. In the past, I would have said it was made for Armstrong and I bet he will figure, but could he actually win it? Of the Brits, Millar has been slipping further and further off the pace, but this could be a good one for him, Cav is getting a lot better in the TTs but usually figures in the shorter ones, and I would have said that it wouldn't be so good for Bradley as it's longer than the kind of ITTs he likes, but he seems to be utterly transformed of late so who knows?

Could be a big day for Menchov.

I thought that Levi would get this one but the crash will not have helped him, let's hope he has no adverse affects from that in ths race. Armstrong could figure well in this stage but I'm not sure he's up to the level of fitness he wants at the moment. Rogers is really gunning for this one and could well make it but in the end I think Levi will come out on top!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could certainly live with a Menchov win, although it seems to me that the "big chance" often seems to be the point at which he has some dreadful piece of bad luck.

Anyone rating Sastre for this? We know he can climb, and he turned in a decent ITT at last year's tour...

Wiggins seems like a decent outside chance vote.

Particular points of interest for me are

- the performance of LA (to see if he still has anything)
- Michael (btw, why do we call him 'Mike' now?) Rodgers; because I want him to do well
- Bradley Wiggins; I'd love to see him win

Rabbit - Com on Levi in my fantersy team

It started at 11.05 GMT.

First live TV feed according to steephill is 2.15 GMT

Hoping Menchov will do well. Armstrong in the top ten would be a result to me. Didn't think this course would suit Wiggins.

I'd have thought it was too long for Wiggins but given his new climbing prowess...
He has said he fancies it but a win is unlikely.
Leipheimer for me.
