Giant TCR/defy owners seat issues

My seat keeps coming loose what am I doing wrong?I get it level etc tighten rear bolt to correct torque however the tightening thing under the seat keeps slackening off after a while its frustrating.

I know it is ! I tightened mine until it wouldn't go any more .

I had the same on the SCR2.0 seatpost - I shimmed it with a bit of old coke can (other beverages would work too). A single thickness of can between the ridged clamping bit and the clamping surface.

Also, grease the bolt (if you haven't already) that should allow it to be nipped up a bit tighter.

That's to adjust the angle of the seat, tighten to lower the nose of the saddle, loosen to raise the nose. when you have the angle right, you need to tighten the bolt at the back.

Right - the design's changed since the single bolt clamp on the SCR2 (for the better, I'd say).

You need to nip it up tight once the saddle is on . Not easy if you don't have a hole in the saddle to get to the top of it .
