Giant Rapid 4 mudguards

I've got a 2013 Giant Rapid 4 on it's way for commuting purposes- and was wondering how people have got on with mudguards for the Rapid range?
I'm led to believe the Defy specific guards are pretty good as they've got cut-aways for the close clearance- does anyone use these or any others I should consider?

I use the Defy guards, which fit, but I wouldn't use them with anything more than 25c tyres as clearance is very tight, 23c even better.

Others that should fit the very limited clearance are Crud Roadracer Mk2 and also SKS Raceblade Longs.

My rapid 4, 2010 version had crud roadracer 2 on, once they are fitted, they are easy to remove and refit should you want to.

I use the Defy guards & moved down to 23c tyres. The 25c ones rubbed too much/too easily. On my second winter with them now. I take them off for the, er, months formerly known as summer.
