Sizing questions are impossible to answer on the internet. You need to try a few for size. A bit like you do with shoes.

375 seems a good price, considering I can only find it for 500. where is this from?

LBS. They ordered it in for someone who did not collect. Not the usual bike they stock - so they dropped the price. I also could not find it cheaper anywhere else.

No doubting its a bargain but if its the wrong size, then its a waste of money

Have you tried this bike for size in the shop yet. Thats what I would do, if its wrong, you are under no obligation to buy it.

Steve Austin's right - try it out before parting with your cash.

FWIW, my bike has a 17 inch frame, I have a 29 inch inside leg and we get along fine with plenty of seat post in reserve. I don't have a Giant Escape though, so definately check it fits.

I've got one of these which I use when I daren't get my Bianchi dirty, which is very often these days. It's a great bike. Done 33 miles on it this morning. Mine's is the Large, 21" frame and my inside leg is 32" and I'm 5'10". I sat on the medium which both myself and the guy in the bike shop felt was a bit too small, but as others have said, it's all down to personal preference. Good luck.

Many thanks all. My current bike is an 18" frame and is just right - so I'll give the newey a test ride and see how it goes.

I've got a M0 - I've a M (?19" frame), and inside leg 31" (female) 5'6". I sometimes wonder if I should have had a smaller frame - but it felt small to me when I tried it. My problem is the handlebars feel too wide for me - but my LBS have offered to chop it down a bit for me.

I'm sure if you shop around you could pick up shorter bars.
