Giant Defy 4 (2010) Stem

Hi guys, does anyone know of an appropriate upgrade for the standard stem on the Defy 4 please?
Looking for a slightly shorter one, but don't know if I need a 1" or 1 1/8", standard or oversize, what mm mount and angle?
Sorry to be a bit simple, but can't seem to find much help on the stem upgrading front.

What size do you have? what size frame?
What year is the bike?
A shorter stem will effect the steering,making it a bit twitchy.
Giant make a range of stems to match the bars as an upgrade. the connect or the contact are excellent.

1 1/8" Oversize stem (31.8mm).

Upgrade? I got a shorter +/-6 degree stem for my Defy to decrease my reach a little and improve my comfort, but I wouldn't class it as an 'upgrade'.

I have a Defy 3 (also 2010) and first flipped the original stem, then bought a 90mm 17 degree stem as felt stretched out and low (getting bad neck ache too).

Have just ordered an 80mm/35degree stem as still don't feel quite comfortable. this is hopefully coming from On-One.
