Giant Defy 1 v Cube Aerial

Hi,

I'm new to cycling and looking to get my first road bike. I've got a budget of £500-£600 to get something to start me off. I dont want to spend much as I will be doing quite a bit of riding during the winter months and im sure when I get into it I will want to upgrade bikes quite soon.

I have come across two bikes that I like the look of. Juts wondering if you guys could offer your opinion on which one is better set up and / or the better value for money.

The Defy has Tiagra throughout which is the model up from Sora which is on the Cube.

...and it comes with pedals, although basic strapped ones.
