Yep, I've got a CRS 3 City - basically the same but with guards and rack. Been doing me proud on my commute and a few social/pleasure rides.

Your probably right that the CRS with a wider range of gears thant the 3 speed princess will be better for longer trip with you - but I find the princess's lack of rim brakes (had a brief look and it looks like its got hub brakes) and the inherent cleaning/adjusting kinda appealing - not that I'd consider a princess for myself.

Do you know what it weighs? My gf is (will be) looking for a bike soon, and while she probably won't be racing mountain stages on it she will need to get it up and down the stairs to our flat (at least, she will when I'm not there) so the Porky Princess is probably not the best choice for her

Hi

Not sure how much it weights but I can carry mine with no problem - admittedly only up 6 steps but thats with my panniers on which have my handbag in and you know what womens handbags are like!

I'd say it's hitting 20 odd kg, it feels a good bit more weight than my sirrus sport... it's a nice looking bike and she seems to love it... and thinks it's got that "old skool" look of the porky princess.... I'm going to give it a blast tomorrow to see how fast it is

20kg? Cripes, that's nearly half what she weighs. Well, will be interested to hear how you get on with it
