Getting the front mudguard stays into the safety bracket ?

My safety measure deployed yesterday when I ran over a stick and it got caught in the guards. They popped out and the stick dropped luckily but is there an easy way to Pop them both back in ? Ones in but the other is a bugger. Any tips ?

Yep. Happened to me (for the first time) in the summer (@198km into a 200). Minging shove ftw.

I had the same last time I fitted new mudguards. Leave it alone for a while and sneak up on it.
