Getting serious

Hi all

I'm new to this forum and i was wondering if i could have some advice.

I've been riding cross now for 2 seasons and really want to start getting serious with my racing what sort of training should i be doing i'm currently just going out for 2-3hrs rides 3 x week.

just a brief reply, but you want to be doing intense sessions, intervals etc...

i use the rollers for stuff like this...

also why not try doing 1 run a week, again, not to long, but a high pace...

Yeah, specificity. Some hard 45 minute sessions after a decent warm up. Vary the pace with intervals, attacking, etc.

Go to the local woods, park and practice some technical skills - step through dismounts, shouldering the bike and so on.

yeah i forgot to add the technical side of things...

in the run upto this season im going to be practicing getting of on my weaker side more, doing bikes changes etc...
