I appreciate that this request is very picky, and it's possibly just me who is mufty-fingered in this way, but when browsing on a tablet I tend to press 'chat' instead of 'what's new' and log out instead of 'alerts'.

Users hitting the wrong links is a fairly unfixable usability issue, and sometimes making the changes they inspire is a bit like insisting all cars have a top speed of 3mph to save lives, but with regards to these two mis-hits the consequences are more inconvenient than simply landing on the wrong page.

Do you use heat-map type analytics? I'd wager the two most often clicked links in the nav are 'alerts' and 'what's new'.

This is the type of post that can only come about as the result of a slow bank holiday Monday

My fat fingers do the same, however this is the type of scenario that pinch-zoom was invented for and I've now learned to zoom first, tap second - to the point where I do it without even thinking about it. ;)

Unfortunately at the moment though I can't easily move the primary navigation tabs around. Should that become an option in future releases it might be something I'd consider changing.

Cheers,
Shaun

I just use a stylus! (It also keeps the screen free of greasy fingerprints.)

The thing that I keep doing is mixing up Mark Forums Read and What's New? which is odd because they are opposite functions at opposite ends of the menu bar!
