Just got back from the weekly grocery shop with some bargain batteries.

Bought some of the above batts (the best ones with the blue band and power meter strip) in boxes of 4 +4 free but the shelf sticker said BOGOF. Surely a mistake thought I so popped 2 boxes into trolley and sure enough got one box free, so thats now 16 AAA utra power duracells with best before date of 2017 for only £4.49. Only 28 pence per battery. I think I will go back and stock up on some more later in the week.

Very handy for bike lights and stuff....

On a similar note, B&Q on Queens Road in Sheffield are doing packs of AAs (36) for £3.00

It's not a mistake at all. There's a lot of duracell promotion going on. They have had this exact offer before in the past. Glad you're happy and pointing it out to others who are interested though .

Maplin Alkaline batteries AA and AAA £15 for 100 at Christmas. 2 boxes of them and thats the year sorted.

I have used this guy a number of times now. The Procell batteries are excellent.
