Marta Bastianelli won the women's race in a bunch finish. I don't think I saw her name picked out in any of the previews!

Barnes crossed the line 6th.

This is a fantastic race. Got to say Demare looks favourite as things stand with 14km to go.

I’m guessing a bit here but I reckon Viviani’s new pet kitten was being held hostage by Dr Evil who threatened to drown it if Viviani didn’t win.

Good win in the rainbow stripes but the main interest in the race was spotting touring ideas for a route towards Dunkirk.
