Genesis Day One

I'm reluctantly putting my Genesis Day One 'Cross up for sale. I've been using this as my "perhaps I'll go through the woods today" commuter bike but a change in city means that's no longer an option and I'd like funds for other projects. It's stock as far as build goes but comes with some virtually unused Schwalbe Land Cruiser tyres, a Dicta 20t freewheel and shimano M505 pedals. I can probably supply cleats for these too. Probably. The bike is in 'used' condition, my off road handling isn't all it could be so there are a couple of scuffs and scratches to the paint, most notably the left fork and chain stay (as illustrated).

This is a great 'go anywhere' bike for those chosen few who 'get' singlespeeds. And if you're really enlightened I can throw in a 20t fixed sprocket for extra fun.

The bike is located in Sheffield (hence the lower than standard gearing) and as I appreciate that selling a singlespeed in Sheffield is like trying to sell ice skates in the Sahara I'm willing to ship if the buyer arranges.

She cost £500 new and due to the scuffs etc to the paintwork I'm asking £300 ORO.

front fork looks a little un linear.......any reason

Blow, I knew missed something. The size is 54cm, I'm 5'9" with a 32" leg and the bike is set up for me as pictured.

As for the fork, that's how they are, the fork on my Croix de Fer (I like Genesis bikes) is just the same. Somehow raked and straight bladed at the same time. The wide lens on my phone camera seems to have distorted the geometry a little.

possibly a little small for me - i am 5'11'' in my socks - so cheers anyway - might have bene tempted if it had the disk breaks
