I like it. Plain simple and sums it up.

At first I thought it was a new forumite with a military theme user name ,we have had a few Captain Calamities and Major Disasters so why not a General Cycling ?

Highlighting the "What bike questions" note in red could be worthwhile.

Definitely. It gets rid of that 'beginners' and 'experts' thing, which being neither, never attracted me to post in Beginners very much.

Well that's the general idea ...

It came up during the feedback session in the Cafe and when I looked at the daily post count in Beginners and Riding it wasn't as high as you might expect.

So rather than add a new forum (we've got quite a few already ) I thought it would be better to re-task Beginners and use it as a general forum where we can chat about anything cycling related (which, of course, includes beginners questions too ).
