Hi folks, having recently had my rear cassette on my cube replaced. After 4months, whilst being in the small ring on the crank, when I apply pressure, the rear derailleur lifts up towards the frame and the chain is scratching my frame preventing me riding properly. It is only whilst in small ring on front(crank). Anyone help?

Sounds like chain suck.

When the derailleur lifts, have a look at the bottom of the front ring.

You may find the chain is not straight, but wrapping upwards around the ring.

Only cure I know is to replace the ring and/or chain.

Give the chain a good clean and re lube..wrap a bit ofinner tube around the frame and zip tie it.

The ring seems to be straight, I'll try and take video.

The ring will be straight, but the chain is sticking to it.

It could be as the chain wraps around the top of the ring, or as it comes off at the bottom.

Thank you, i shall try this tonight. Both vids helpful. the video titled chain suck is exactly what mine is doing, I'll clean and oil everything, if this dosent work. Do parts need replacing as discussed above?

If you fitted a new chain with the cassette you will be fine.
new chains can be sticky ,so a good clean should sort the suck .
