I recently posted about some gear change problems I was having with Shimano deore 9 speed after I fitted a new chain. Following all the good advise (thank you all very much), I reduced the chain length and it did make a big difference. However the rear shifter seems to "stick" in between the middle gears (4 / 5). I notice when I am "clicking" up or down the cable does not actually move between those gears.....then on the next gear it goes up / down 2 gears? However took it out for a ride and when "in the saddle" it seems to work OK?...should I just leave well alone?....I have "blown out" the gear shifter with WD40..and it makes the gear change much more positive....
