Gear Cable

my rear gear cable snapped!!! so i have to fit a new one obviously!

so, how do i know how much to "pull through" the cable to start off with!?

i either seem to leave it too slack or pull it too tight!

any help?

The "park tool" "website" is probably your "best bet". Otherwise, bike shop job, about £4, no?
