Here my stats from this morning. I start garmin, cycle to work, stop garmin, power the garmin down, work during day. In the evening I get on the bike, power up the garmin and press start, cycle home, stop garmin and upload the single journey.

Hope that helps

Time: 1:23:08
Moving Time: 1:21:52
Elapsed Time:
11:09:35

Time is the ride time as a whole
Moving time is just that, so stops recording when the bike has stopped.
Elapsed time is when you first start recording a ride to when you stop recording. I am guesing that your commute is one long ride rather then 2 separate, morning and evenings rides.

It is 2 separate, morning and evenings rides. I prefer them merged into one record as it is easier to upload onto Mycyclinglog site.

I have always stopped & reset my garmin after commuting in a morning (so have 2 rides to upload each day). Doing just one does keep things cleaner - might give it a go..

You can do a preset where you Garmin AutoPauses under a certain speed....I think mine is under 4mph..and then automatically restarts timing once you are above that preset speed

Hmmm, that would have given some odd data if I'd had it set like that for the Exmoor Beast a couple of weeks ago...! ;)
