does anyone else get this where if the garmin switches off while it's logging, then motionbased or training center won't import it?
It's basically because it buggers up the tcx file that it creates, but on looking at it it's actually got all the information there, it's just written a few tags wrong.
I did make a post about writing a corrector, but i can't find that post now, maybe it was on yacf. anyhow for anyone who's interested i justthought i'd let you know that i now have written a corrector and it seems to work :becool: motionbased accepts it. Obviously it shows that i apparently 'flew' in a straight line as the crow flies from where it turned off to where I turned on again, but the average speed is *largely* correct, it will be slightly slower than your actual speed as during the time it was off, you actually went further on the road than you would have done if you'd have gone as the crow flies, which is what it thinks you did. Obviously the straighter the road you were on while it was off/the less time it was off for, the more correct it will be.

So if anybody gets the same issue and wants a copy of the corrector let me know.

This could be the problem causing your glitch in power and recording, that is if it's and Edge computer.

That's intersting my 305 has started powering off occaisionally on the ride if I go over rough stuff and when i power it back on it sometimes records really high data for that lap.

My older Geko failed too but doesn't come back on, it might be similar problem.

I have my Garmin with a thick piece of sponge rubber between the handlebar and the Garmin mount.

I haven't had any 'power outs' yet.
