Garmin Question ??

I have been using a Garmin 305 edge to great effect over the last few months, but as many others have said SOMETIMES you lose the Gps connection, my question relates to speed and distance ,when Gps connection is established does the Garmin record the information that it gets from Gps or does it record the information from the cadence/Speed connector and Magnet on the wheel..

The Cadence/speed sensor usually has priority, so if GPS signal is lost, you still have the data being recorded from the sensor. Thats how my 705 works.
