Garmin HRM multi device compatibility

I have Garmin HRM which is paired to an Edge 510. Now when I use it I just turn on the edge and it recognises the HRM automatically. Works perfect, no complaints at all.

However, I also do a bit of running and am thinking about a forerunner 15 gps watch. If I pair it with the watch will it then forget the edge and vica versa.

I only want to use one device at a time but, will the HRM remember both devices so I turn them on and it just works without having to pair afresh each time?

Other way round, the edge and forerunner will both remember the ANT+ id of the strap.

ANT+ transmitters are exactly that.. transmitters

There is no limit as to how many devices can pick up the signal

There may however be a limit on hw many signals a device can receive
